Mobile payment / commerce solutions company, Paymate India Pvt Ltd will take a decision on its creative agency in December. According to industry sources 5-8 agencies are pitching for the account, including McCann Erickson, Dentsu, Mudra, TBWA, and Euro RSCG, among others.
As reported by exchange4media earlier, the company has kept aside around Rs 12-15 crore for above the line and below the line activities.
Meanwhile, Paymate India is also on the lookout for a media agency, the pitch for which would be called next month. According to Probir Roy, Co-Founder and Director of Paymate and CoruscantTec (a Mumbai-based wireless solutions company with focus on content and commerce), the decision to this effect would be made in January 2007.
The company was also scouting for a specialised online media agency and would also explore the possibility of having a media audit firm on board, informed Roy. It is also looking at partnering with Google.
Roy said, “The media audit firm will help us maximise our media budget and will also validate our 360 degree media communication plan if the economics work out alright.”
On the need for having a specialised online media agency, Roy said, “Traditional media agencies are only strong in traditional media. We need an agency which understands digital media very well. A specialised online media agency will be very fluent in digital media aspects.”
