McCann concludes USAID’s ‘Saathi Bachpan Ke’ project in 3 districts of UP

McCann Momentum, together with McCann Healthcare and Weber Shandwick, has recently completed ‘Saathi Bachpan Ke’, a USAID diarrhoea management programme carried out in three districts of Uttar Pradesh. The three agencies were involved in advertising, activation and PR of the social cause, while it was implemented by Abt Associates.

Ajay Sharma, Director, McCann Momentum, told exchange4media, “Saathi Bachpan Ke was a diarrhoea management programme, which was executed through three integral parts – Hand Washing With Soap, Usage of Clean Water and ORS Solution for Diarrhoea Management. The programme was focused on children below 5 years and care givers.”

The programme was launched on the occasion of World Water Day. The work on the project began in November 2009 and concluded last month. The activity took place in three districts of Uttar Pradesh – Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi. The programme involved key stakeholders, local authorities and some celebrities.
