M&C Saatchi India wins mandate for Franklin Templeton brand communication

M&C Saatchi India has bagged the brand communication mandate for financial services company Franklin Templeton Investments. Industry sources have pegged the account size in the region of Rs 12-15 crore. The US-based Franklin Templeton Investments is one of the largest financial services groups in the world with $580.2 billion in assets under management globally.

M&C Saatchi India will be responsible for all brand related communications of Franklin Templeton Investments, including new fund offerings and product launches. In the crowded mutual funds space, M&C Saatchi’s primary objective is to give the Franklin Templeton brand a distinctive appeal and unique positioning.

Commenting on the win, Kamal Oberoi, Chairman & Managing Director, M&C Saatchi India, said, “The Franklin Templeton brand intends to create a new thrust in the investments market. This requires mapping an insightful strategic direction for the brand and formulating an engaging creative expression. The race to win this account has been very exciting and we hope to infuse fresh ideas and new energy into the brand.”

Rajiv Sabnis, Executive Director, and Parveez Shaikh, Senior VP & ECD, M&C Saatchi, both of whom have worked with Franklin Templeton in the past, said, “This gives us another opportunity to work with an iconic global brand that we have great regard and respect for.”

Vivek Kudva, President, Franklin Templeton Investments, said, “We are looking at fresh ideas that will help us connect with prospective investors and we look forward to working with M&C Saatchi.”
