Mauj Telecom, Mobile2Win, MakeMyTrip.com, People Group and Drishtee are some Indian IT companies that are featured in the second edition of Red Herring Asia 100 Award. The Awards are part of ‘Red Herring’ magazine, which is a guide to the business of technology, featuring unparalleled insights on the emerging technologies driving the economy, from the Internet to wireless communications and digital entertainment.
The Red Herring Asia 100 Award recognises top 100 Asian tech companies on the basis of technology innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition and financial health.
Red Herring’s list of top private companies is an important part of the well-known magazine’s tradition of identifying new and innovative technology firms and entrepreneurs. Companies like Google and eBay were spotted in their early days by ‘Red Herring’ editors as companies that would change the way we live and work.
After receiving more than 600 entries from across countries in Asia, Red Herring’s editorial staff evaluated all the contenders through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy and dedication to research and development. The Red Herring 100 Asia companies are at the forefront of the technologies that have a significant impact on our lives.
Reacting to the win, Arun Gupta, CEO, Mauj Telecom, said, “Red Herring seeks to recognise the rising stars of Asia. We are delighted to be acknowledged as a Red Herring 100 Asia winner.
