Marketing excellence awards to air on NDTV 24x7

Dainik Bhaskar Indian Marketing Awards has already begun gathering excitements in the market. The initiative constituted to recognise excellence in marketing on the Indian scene has set the industry in motion. The event will be telecast on NDTV 24×7.

Speaking on NDTV's reasons to be a part of the initiative, Raj Nayak, CEO, NDTV Media, expresses, "There are two main reasons - firstly, credibility of the jury panel, which consists of leading stars from Indian advertising and, secondly, the fact that this is for the first time that a national level award is being instituted by an independent organisation with third party auditing and selection process of global standards."

Echoes Girish Aggarwal, Director, Marketing, Dainik Bhaskar Group, "Bhaskar group stands for innovative marketing. All our initiatives have been directed to achieve standards in marketing and that this award is recognising the best in marketing. In that sense, it makes perfect sense for us to be a part of this initiative."

Nayak offers more on why the Dainik Bhaskar's Indian Marketing Awards are differentiated from anything that the Indian scene has to offer. Says he, "To begin with, this is the first India marketing award, across all disciplines organised at a National level. The fact that an independent reputed media organisation like exchange4media, who through their website and magazines like Impact and Pitch are the catalyst and facilitators for such a mega event adds to it."

Adding further he says, "The jury they have managed to put together is extremely impressive and the fact that there is an outside third party audit gives it the stamp of being truly independent and credible. I think this is also the reason why there has been such a tremendous response to the Indian Marketing awards."

What does an initiative like this mean? "I think IMA by itself become an event of huge importance to the Indian marketing scene. It would mean scoring more and doing more to improve the standards of the Indian industry," replies Aggarwal.

"Given the fact that the Indian Marketing awards has been endorsed by the industry across the country, I think it will set a new benchmark in recognising and showcasing the best creative and marketing talent in the country. Some of the categories are new and I feel this award will broadbase the various facets of advertising & more importantly marketing," states Nayak.
