Marico signs actress Ayesha Takia as brand ambassador for Hair & Care

Actress Ayesha Takia has been roped in as the brand ambassador for Marico Ltd’s Hair & Care brand. Sameer Sathpathy, Category Head, Marico Ltd, said, “For today’s youth style is of paramount importance, however, nourishment cannot be ignored. Hence, Hair & Care is a great fit. Ayesha is a true representation of the brand’s values – stylish, yet with substance.”

Talking of her association, Takia said, “Most of us cannot ignore the importance of oiling. It’s what our mothers and grandmothers instill in us. But as we grow up and style gains prominence – oiling loses on priority. Hair & Care, with its non-sticky and nourishing properties is a great balance. With our lifestyles today – this is a great option for silky, shiny and healthy hair.”

The packaging of Hair & Care has been redone with Takia’s picture on it. The packaging displays the actor’s flowing locks and her alluring smile. It is in perfect sync with the brand’s message of “Style and Nourishment”.

Marico’s products and services in hair care, skin care and healthy foods generated a turnover of about Rs 11.5 billion ($250 million) during 2005-06. Marico markets well-known brands such as Parachute, Saffola, Sweekar, Hair & Care, Nihar, Shanti, Mediker, Revive, Kaya, Sundari and Aromatic. Marico is present in the skin care services segment through Kaya Skin Clinics (46 in India and the UAE), the Sundari range of spa skin care products (in the US and other countries), and also through a recently acquired nascent soap franchise (in India and Bangladesh).
