Malavika Harita takes over as Ad Club Bangalore President

Malavika Harita, CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi Focus Network, took charge as President of The Advertising Club of Bangalore at its Annual General Meeting held on April 25, 2013. Prateek Srivastava, Regional President, Ogilvy is the outgoing President of the Bangalore Ad Club. This is the second time that Harita has been elected as the Club’s President.

On the way forward for the Bangalore Ad Club, Harita said, “I have a very energetic and stable committee and I am sure we will all work together to make the Ad Club Bangalore a force to reckon with. One which is inclusive and uses technology to build a vibrant community of communication professionals. One of our most ambitious ventures this year is to take the Big Bang, our annual awards competition, process online. In addition to sports and other activities, we are looking at a college programme, where we will try and make young communication graduates and post graduates explore communication as a career.”

The Managing Committee, who were nominated at the same time include, Bindu Gopinath, Business Director - South, Kinetic India; Sanchayeeta Verma, GM South, Maxus India; Sneha Walke , VP & Head, E4M – South; Binoy Joseph, AVP & NCD, Radio City; PR Satheesh, Principal, Telibrahma; Anil Kumar Sathiraju, Head, Mudra Max – South; Navin Nair, Account Director, Sampark PR; and Arunava Seal, Creative Director, Pentagon Communication. Prateek Srivastava, the immediate past President, will be an ex-officio member of the committee. RT Kumar, three-time past President, will continue in the role of adviser to the Committee.

Arvind Kumar, Executive Director, The Advertising Club Bangalore, continues on the Committee and manages the functioning of the Club.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
