Madison Media, OMG, Starcom Worldwide in final race for General Motors’ media biz

The media pitch for General Motors has boiled down to three agencies – Madison Media, OMG and Starcom Worldwide. The auto major will be deciding on its media agency in 15 days. Industry sources have pegged the business in the vicinity of Rs 100 crore. Gaurav Gupta, Director - Marketing, General Motors, has confirmed the development.

It is understood that the automobile manufacturer is reviewing its media business in various other markets as well. In India, the business is currently being handled by Madison Media.

Meanwhile, there is no review of its creative duties and Leo Burnett and Wieden+Kennedy will continue to handle the account.

General Motors India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Motors Corp, has brands such as Chevrolet Tavera, Chevrolet Optra and Opel Corsa in the Indian market. It also sells the imported Opel Vectra and Chevrolet Forester.
