MAA Bozell’s new client acquisitions across categories estimated at Rs 20 crore

MAA Bozell has added to its client base with five new acquisitions estimated at Rs 20 crore in the last few months. These include Mantri Developers, Coir Board, Zimson Watches, TAG trousers (Krish Clothing), and Green Trends (from Trendz in Vogue, Cavinkare’s Retail division).

The agency had earlier successfully pitched for Pizza Corner, Coffee World and the Apollo Hospital Group in April 2005. With the new client wins, the value of acquisitions over the last quarter stood at Rs 25 crore, an agency release said.

Referring to the new campaigns, Bunty Peerbhoy, Chairman, MAA Bozell, said, “Once again we have been able to get this business through our fresh approach to the creative task.”

Maa Bozell will handle the complete integrated solutions for Mantri Developers and position and help market each of Mantri’s projects as well as profile the organisation using integrated communications. Meanwhile, the advertising for Zimson Watches, Krish Clothing and Green Trends is expected to be spread across all media.

MAA Bozell bagged the Coir Board account following a multi-agency pitch. The agency will design the marketing communication strategy for Coir Board to promote coir products as eco-friendly products in the international market. The exercise includes increasing the consumption of Indian coir in major export markets and tapping the abundant export potential of coir. The agency will also develop a campaign for eco- friendly coir products to increase domestic consumption.

Peerbhoy added, “This year, we have not only broken into the international market, but have also acquired clients like Krish Clothing and Trendz in Vogue. This is a great source of pride for us as a creative team.”

While Zimson is involved in retailing Indian as well as international watch brands, Green Trends is a chain of unisex family salons and spas under the Cavinkare Group’s retail division, Trends in Vogue.

“We have been successfully handling ‘Limelite’ unisex salon as an extension of their marketing department. They have now entrusted us with the Green Trends brand. We will be responsible for its total brand management in terms of what is conveyed to the consumers,” Peerbhoy further said.

Yet another account bagged by the agency is that of Tag Trousers, from Krish Clothing Company, which is a relatively new brand with a presence in the market in the last two years.
