Luxury watch brand Timond ropes in Karan Johar as brand ambassador

Luxury watch brand Timond has announced filmmaker Karan Johar as its worldwide brand ambassador. The association with Johar commences from July 2007. Besides endorsing the brand in his forthcoming movies, Johar will also be seen sporting the watch at parties, events and talk shows.

The watches are priced at Rs 1.06 lakh, and are available at leading multi-brand watch boutiques across the country, and at select jewellery outlets in Chennai. In May, Timond had introduced gold and diamond-studded watches for men. Timond will launch its limited edition ‘Tourbillion’ series in August.

Tejas Soni, Brand Manager, Timond, said, “Timond stands for luxury and precision. It is an aspiration brand for achievers. Karan Johar, who is revered as a lexicon of luxury, makes a perfect fit to personify the inherent values of our brand. Moreover, Timond is renowned for its gold, diamond and Swiss technology, and the brand will aesthetically join forces with Johar, thus making him a perfect collaboration for our brand.”

Johar said, “I am really happy to be associated with the brand. Timond appeals to me for its elegance, exclusivity and accuracy. The presence of solid gold and diamond embellishment makes it a real treat for my wrists.”

There will be massive advertising and brand promotion activities for Timond, which includes print campaigns, outdoor activities, etc. Johar will be used for branding at various retail outlets.
