Lowe's Help A Child Reach 5 shortlisted for Creative Effectiveness category

The campaign was to raise awareness on good hand-washing habits that can save millions of lives at risk. Every year, 2 million children do not reach their fifth birthday falling victims to diseases like diarrhoea and pneumonia. That’s two million too many, especially, when the simple act of hand-washing could help erase this tragedy.

The total number of entries shortlisted in this category was 12. Australia and UK each see four shortlisted entries in the category.

The ‘Help a Child Reach 5’ campaign involved the idea to adopt the village of Thesgora. The village had the highest number of child deaths as a result of diarrhoea. The campaign turned heads globally with 24 million YouTube views and 16 million pledges that supported children reaching the age of five.
