Lowe Lintas, Chennai wins AAAI-AdFest Young Lotus workshop contest

Mamta Ramachandra and Sandeep Das of the Young Creatives Team from Lowe Lintas, Chennai, were adjudged the winning team in the national creative initiative taken by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI).

This winning team will be flown to Pattaya on March 6, 2006 and will be the official Indian representatives at the prestigious Asia Pacific Young Creatives Workshop 2006, which will be held on March 7-9, 2006.

They will also be guests of the AdFest, (Asia Pacific Advertising Festival) Asia’s premier creative awards function scheduled for March 9-11, 2006. All together the winning team will be away from their desks for seven days.

The AAAI organised this national contest among AAAI member agencies and invited entries on the theme “Eye Donation”. A total of 154 entries were received from 26 agencies. They were judged by Elsie Nanji, Vice-Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Ambience Publicis Advertising Pvt Ltd, K V Sridhar, National Creative Director of Leo Burnett India Pvt Ltd and R Balakrishnan, National Creative Director of Lintas India Pvt Ltd.

Announcing the results Vinod Nair, Convener of the Jury, said that this was the unanimous decision of the three judges who picked this unusually non-ad-looking entry, which went straight to the point with its social service perspective.
