Lodestar Universal Chennai adds new businesses worth Rs 40 cr to its kitty

Lodestar Universal Chennai has had a busy time these last five months, starting April 2009. The agency has added quite a few big ticket accounts to its kitty in this period, including Indian Terrain, Scholl, Style Spa and Inbisco. The cumulative size of the four wins is upwards of Rs 40 crore. All the wins came following multi-agency pitches.

Commenting on these wins, Habeeb Nizamuddin, Chief Growth Officer, Lodestar Universal, said, “We have been a low profile agency. These wins only bring alive all the works we have been doing. Our existing clients have been speaking about us well in the market and now we are being recognised for the works we have been doing for our existing clients.”

Nizamuddin further said that the Lodestar Chennai team was an extremely close knit team and that they had been able to turnaround a whole lot of things for their clients. “All I can say is that their work have been recognised and I am proud of the Chennai team,” he said.

When asked if he saw signs of a thaw in frozen credit markets with these developments, Nizamuddin replied, “I am as optimistic as everybody can be. Beyond that I can’t say anything. None of us can turn around and say where the market is headed. The situation seems to be improving now and we are all keeping our fingers crossed.”

MM Charly, Media Controller and Head of Lodestar Universal, Chennai, said here, “We are happy about these wins and are hungry for more. The Chennai branch is totally excited about it.”

Scholl is a leading footcare brand from the TTK Group, while, Style Spa Furniture is a part of Zuari-Chambal Group, which is part of the KK Birla conglomerate. Style Spa Furniture is one of the largest retailers of furniture in India with over 90 exclusive showrooms spanning the length and breadth of the country.

Inbisco India is the subsidiary company of PT Mayora Indah Tbk, which is into the food, coffee and confectionary business. Inbisco recently launched Kopiko, a coffee-based confectionery brand, in Indian market. Indian Terrain, a part of Celebrity Fashions, is a leading men’s wear brand.
