Liberty Shoes scouts for PR partners

After moving its account from Montage Advertising to the newly formed advertising agency ‘The Page’ by Karunendra Mathur, Liberty Shoes is now looking for agencies to handle its Public Relations (PR).

The company is currently talking to few agencies in Delhi. Avian Media is the incumbent on the account.

Confirming the news to exchange4media, Anupam Bansal, Director, Liberty Shoes said, “We want to give a contemporary and more youthful look to the brand which would require meaningful and engaging conversations from all touch-points. We are looking for agencies to partner with us and handle our PR. Apart from this, although we have changed our AoR from Montage to The Page, we are still meeting agencies and looking at fresh ideas. In future we may think of partnering with two agencies to handle the brand simultaneously.”

In a bid to appeal more to the younger generation, Liberty donned a youthful look last year for its Autumn-Winter collection and roped in Hrithik Roshan as brand ambassador. The company spent Rs 6 crore on the campaign during that time.

For the record, Liberty Shoes has been fashioning footwear for over 50 years. With annual turnover exceeding US $150 million, Liberty figures amongst the top five manufacturers of leather footwear of the world producing more than 50,000 pairs a day using a capacity of more than three lakh square feet of leather per month. The company has a worldwide distribution network of 150 distributors, 350 exclusive showrooms and more than 6000 multi-brand outlets.
