Leo Burnett bags Rs 15-cr creative mandate for The Express Group

The Express Group has assigned its creative duties to Leo Burnett. Senior Indian Express sources have pegged the account size at Rs 15 crore. While Leo Burnett Delhi will be handling Indian Express and Financial Express newspapers, the agency’s Mumbai branch will handle Loksatta and Screen publications. VGC is the incumbent agency. The media duties for The Express Group are being handled in-house.

Confirming the news to exchange4media, Pavita Puri, Group Brand Head, The Express Group, said, “We are excited at the prospect of having Leo Burnett partner us in energising our brands, and look forward to working with them. We are confident that with the creative expertise that Burnett has and the strategic bandwidth that they offer, they will be a great ally in meeting our desired business objectives.”

Puri further said, “The Express Group will be looking at a 360-degree communication for the brands, which includes print, TV, OOH and the Internet.”

Commenting on the win, Samir Gangahar, Executive Director, Leo Burnett Delhi, said, “Indian Express is a powerful brand with tremendous equity.
