JWT South Asia CEO Colvyn Harris has announced leadership changes at JWT Mindset, Hyderabad. Santha John, Managing Director, will be assuming an advisory role as Chairman Emeritus, while Ram Gedela will be taking over as CEO of JWT Mindset, effective January 1, 2014.
Announcing this, Colvyn Harris said, “In recognition of her contribution in bringing JWT Mindset to the forefront and making it a leading advertising agency in the South of India, Santha will continue her association with JWT in an advisory role. It’s been a pleasure working with Santha over the years, as she has partnered us comprehensively in the growth of JWT. I would like to thank her for helping us spread our footprint in this region and her contribution to our success.”
John, an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, established Mindset Advertising along with Ram Gedela in 1998. In 2011, JWT acquired a majority stake in Mindset Advertising and the agency was rechristened as JWT Mindset.
“Ram Gedela, with his youthful vision and sharp business acumen, is well poised to take on the baton from Santha and take JWT Mindset to greater heights of success. I wish him all the very best,” Harris added.
On her move, John said, “Setting up, and running this company, has been a wonderful journey; and it is a journey that will continue for me.”
Commenting on his new role, Gedela said, “Santha has set a very strong foundation for JWT Mindset. I would like to take her vision forward by ensuring that Mindset remains a leader in this space and we continue to offer the best value proposition to our clients across digital and mainstream advertising.”
