In the wake of a multi-agency pitch that was called in December 2009, Law & Kenneth has bagged the creative duties of Kelvinator and Sansui. Company sources peg the business at Rs 40 crore. Saatchi & Saatchi was the incumbent on the business.
In a prepared statement, Varinder Shah Kant, SVP, Law and Kenneth, said, “We are really happy to win both these businesses. The strategy we used for both the brands helped us to win the accounts. Kelvinator is a popular refrigerator brand, which is coming back with a bang. The other products include washers, airconditioners and microwave ovens. The acceptance among people is high. The creatives are breaking in a week’s time. It’s a 360 degree initiative, which includes print, TV, OOH, the Internet and BTL.”
He added, “Sansui is a Japanese brand, which is repositioning itself in the Indian market. There is a new positioning for the brand, which we have designed. We are undertaking a 360 degree initiative for the brand. Sansui is dealing in TV, LCD and DVD and Home Theatre. The creatives for Sansui are breaking after a week.”
