The first of the block of the much-awaited Italjet scooters from Kinetic Motors, the 150-cc Millennium, is set to hit the market within the next fortnight. With this, communication requisites for the next bike in line, Euro, will commence, bringing with it yet another creative battle.
Kinetic Motors will be inviting agencies shortly to contest for the creative duties of Euro. As is known, the Millennium was awarded to Grey WorldWide. Millennium’s ad spends are in the region of Rs 10-12 crore and the same is expected for Euro as well. Madison Media is the AoR for Kinetic Motors.
Said Ajinkya Firodia, GM Marketing, Kinetic Motors, “At present, all our energies are channelled towards Millennium. There has been a little delay, but all details are in place now and we are geared for Millennium’s launch in the market.”
The advertising exercise around this will break within the next 20 days. Firodia explained that a full-fledged pan India ad campaign had been planned for the same. This will be followed by the Euro and then the Jupiter. He informed, “The pitch process will commence only after Millennium has been successfully launched, therefore, there is almost another month to go.”
The Italjet series, consisting of seven models in all, will range from 50 cc to 250 cc and priced between Rs 25,000 and Rs 75,000 for domestic consumers. The company would be opening 40 showrooms under the Kinetic Automatics banner.
