Karishma Kapoor to give Khaitan its ‘Karishma’ as brand ambassador

Khaitan Electricals is all set to give its customers ‘Khaitan ka Karishma’ by associating with actress Karishma Kapoor, who has been roped in as brand ambassador. The actress will endorse the product range for a period of three years.

Sunil Khaitan, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Khaitan Electricals, said, “With the boom in the retail sector, we felt that we needed a star who would be the face of the company and would gel with the products that we offer. Karishma has always been identified as someone with trust and reliability, just as our products.” The company has in the past had stars like Hema Malini and Dharmendra endorsing its brands.

As reported earlier, Khaitan Electricals Ltd is all set to foray into the highly competitive retail space with the launch of Khaitan City and Khaitan Fantasy. Khaitan City outlets will be open within a week’s time, while Khaitan Fantasy outlets will open by January 2007. While Khaitan City will be a one-stop shop for electrical solutions, Khaitan Fantasy will retail designer fans for its hi-end segment.

The company has also recently diversified into the highly competitive electrical segments industry like isolators, distribution boxes, miniature circuit breakers (MCB) and residual current circuit breakers (RCCB), apart from the fans business. A range of domestic appliances like water heaters, mixers, irons and adhesive tapes have also been launched.
