Kapil Tammal, who was Creative Director (Art), Scarecrow Communications Mumbai and Delhi, has been elevated to the position of ECD. He will also continue with his additional responsibility as Design Director of Scarecrow Designs, a new division launched on the agency’s second anniversary.
Commenting on the development, Manish Bhatt, Founder Director, Scarecrow Communications, said, “Scarecrow has seen lots of good news in the past one year and we wanted to give it an RTB (Reason to Believe). Our vision is to create the best second line and empower it from time to time.” On bringing Tammal on board, he said that it was because of his “rare talent”, his “impressive performance” in the span of a year and a few months, which had led to this new designation.

Tammal has over 10 years’ experience and has earlier worked with agencies like McCann Erickson, Umbrella Designs and Triton. He has handled brands such as L’Oreal, Maybelline, Vaseline, Pears, Liril, Hanes, Britannia, Onida, Cathay Pacific, Tata Indicom, Neo Sports, Neo Cricket, Nerolac, Nirlep, Big Cinemas, Marico, Nestle, Eristoff, Siemens, Wonderbra, NDTV, The Economic Times, EsselWorld, Eureka Forbes and more. Besides winning laurels at the Abbys, Cannes Lions, One Show, AdFest and Spikes Asia, he was nominated as ‘Art Director of the Year’ at the Young Achiever’s Awards (2009).
