JWT wrests back Rs 20-cr Monte Carlo account within 2 months

The Monte Carlo account is back in JWT’s fold in just two months after losing out the account to McCann Erickson Delhi. It may be recalled that in July-end 2008, Monte Carlo, the brand from Oswal Woollen Mills, had shifted its creative account to McCann Erickson Delhi. Industry estimates peg the account size in the region of Rs 15-20 crore.

Monica Oswal, Executive Director, Oswal Woollen Mills, said, “JWT has been our partner for the last 14 years. We have together taken brand Monte Carlo to a position of leadership. We have plans to strengthen the brand further by focusing on some of the other categories that the brand operates in, like winter wear for women, outerwear and sportswear.”

JWT is ready with a new Fall-Winter campaign, shot extensively in Budapest and the German Alps.

Along with some high profile business gains in recent times, JWT has had a host of clients who have been with them in mutually profitable relationships for several decades. Many, like Monte Carlo, are mega brands now.

Rohit Ohri, Managing Partner, JWT Delhi, said, “We are very proud of our partnership with Monte Carlo. We look forward to another long innings of outstanding work and great market success.”

Oswal Woollen Mills is the flagship company of the Rs 2,000-crore Nahar Group, an industrial conglomerate with a diversified portfolio that includes spinning, knitting, fabric processing, hosiery garments, knitwear and infrastructure.
