JWT makes sweeping top-level changes across branches; agency is set to rock, says Colvyn Harris

In a sudden development, Colvyn Harris, CEO, JWT, on Thursday evening effected several top-level changes in the agency. M S Balaji, Senior Vice-President and GM of JWT , Kolkata, will be moving to Bangalore to head Contract operations in the South. Raji Ramaswamy from JWT, Mumbai, who had started her career in Kolkata, will be taking charge of the Kolkata office as Senior VP. She will be part of the JWT Executive Board.

Announcing these developments during his visit to Kolkata, Harris said, “In terms of timing, it is great as we are at the beginning of a new year, and JWT is set to rock.”

Among the other senior level changes, Mukul Kansal and Jairaj Rau in Delhi and Chennai, respectively, have both been designated Vice-President and General Manager and will be responsible for New Business and Business Development.

Suranjan Das has been appointed Vice-President and GM of Fortune Communications.

Sumantra Sengupta will take over as Vice-President and GM of RMG Connect, Mumbai.

In Planning, Atika Malik, Hamsini Shivakumar and Mythili Chandrashekhar have been appointed Vice-Presidents and Executive Planning Directors for Delhi, Mumbai- Bangalore and Chennai, respectively.

Another significant new appointment is that of Mahendra Bhagat as Vice-President and Senior Creative Director in Mumbai. Bhagat was earlier National Creative Director of SSC&B.

Said Harris, “I am absolutely delighted that we have such fantastic second and third level management in the agency, and am sure these appointments will go a long way in helping our clients achieve their objectives.”
