Close on the heels of bagging the Sony Vaio account, JWT Delhi has added the Sony Bravia account to its kitty as well. The account size is pegged at Rs 40 crore. Senior sources close to the development have confirmed the news.
No formal pitch was involved. RK Swamy BBDO Delhi and JWT were asked to make presentations. The business was awarded to JWT based on the work done by the agency for Sony Vaio notebooks in the past.
The creative campaign will involve print, TVC, outdoor, Internet and below-the-line activities like mailers, POP, etc.
The Sony Bravia range includes high-definition LCD televisions as well as front and rear projection TVs. LCD TVs, digital cameras, handycam digital products and Vaio notebooks would mainly drive Sony India’s growth in the consumer electronics segment. Sony is aiming to sell around one lakh LCD sets in the 32” category to corner about 25 per cent market share this year.
