JWT Chennai has won the creative account of MRF Tyres. The account size is pegged at Rs 20 crore. Senior sources close to the development have confirmed the news. JWT will be handling the corporate account for MRF Tyres, as also the company’s motorcycle tyres.
The creative campaign will involve print, TVC, outdoor, Internet and below-the-line activities like mailers, POP, etc.
It has been learnt from reliable sources that JWT had to lose the Apollo Tyres business in order to win the MRF business.
MRF Ltd is the first Chennai-based Indian company to export tyres to the US, and is the first company in India to manufacture and market nylon tyres for passenger vehicles commercially. MRF was awarded the title of most ethical company by BusinessWorld magazine after a survey conducted in 1999.
