JWT Delhi has won the creative mandate for Hot Spot Retail Pvt Ltd, part of the MCorp Global Group which is headed by promoters B K Modi and Dilip Modi. Hot Spot is the Group’s multi-brand technology retail chain. The account size has been pegged at Rs 40 crore.
Confirming the development, Bipin Narang, Vice President-Marketing, Hot Spot Retail, said, “The brief we gave to the agencies for the multi-agency pitch was that since as an organisation we are expecting a near six-fold growth, we are looking for a partner who can manage this transition in scale and also help build the Hot Spot brand. At present we have 250 stores, which we propose to increase to 1,500 stores by the end of 2008.”
“We chose JWT as our creative agency because the agency came closest to meeting our brief. We are confident that JWT would help us in the ambitious targets that we have set for the Hot Spot business,” Narang added.
He further said, “JWT will be working towards the overall brand building of Hot Spot Retail, involving print, television, outdoor and the Internet media. We will also have customer connect programmes that would be localised in nature. There will also be a mix of innovative promotions, CRM and loyalty programmes to help us achieve this entire objective.”
The other companies that are a part of MCorp Global Group include Spice Corp in Punjab and Karnataka, Cellebrum International, a value added services company, and Spice Mobile.
