Organisers of CLIO Awards 2006 have announced winners in all competitions except Television and Radio. The lone Indian winner in results announced on May 15 at Miami, USA, is a JWT entry, which won Bronze for a Single (in Print) for work on Levi’s Slim Jeans.
As reported by exchange4media, JWT’s Levi’s Slim campaign had a total of five finalist entries among the ten from India. Saatchi’s two finalists for Ariel (Painter, Tea Man singles from the ‘Corners’ campaign), O&M’s entry (Birds) and JWT Chennai’s work for Red Cross (Give) have not impressed the judges at the last hurdle.
JWT is learnt to have won another Bronze for Slim in the Television competition, results of which are to be announced on the evening of May 16 (Miami time). The second Bronze for JWT is in the Television/Cinema Category - Craft – also for Levi's Slim Jeans, titled ‘Slim vs. Slim’.
JWT India had won a finalist merit award for the Levi's Reversibles TV Campaign at CLIO 2004, and had another Finalist merit for the Hungama TV 'Acrobat' commercial at CLIO 2005.
News of these wins leaves us following one more Indian entry in contention, Brand David’s finalist entry in the Radio competition. If ‘Oh Carol’ sings, we’ll keep you posted.
