It’s that time of the year again…Stage set for Goafest 2013!

The creative guns, marketing stalwarts and media veterans are all set to attend Goafest 2013, kicking off from April 4 with the advertising conclave, which precedes the festival. This year, ‘Time to Listen’ has been chosen as the theme of the advertising conclave that aims to highlight the shortcomings of creative and media agencies.

Today, Srinivasan Swamy, Chairman of the Goafest Advertising Conclave will deliver the welcome address followed by opening remarks from Arvind Sharma, President, AAAI. Nitin Paranjpe, MD and CEO, Hindustan Unilever to deliver the keynote address this year. Some of the panelists at the Conclave include RS Sodhi, Managing Director, GCMMF (Amul); Suresh Bandi, Deputy Managing Director, Panasonic India; Harit Nagpal, MD and CEO, Tata Sky; Arundhati Bhattacharya, MD, SBI Capital Markets; and Arunabh Das Sharma, President, BCCL. Sunil Alagh, Founder and CEO, SKA Advisors will moderate the panel discussion.

April 5 boasts of knowledge sharing seminars by experts such as Roger Mulchandani, Director of Warc Asia-Pacific and Ray Velez, Chief Technology Officer of Razor fish. There will be discussions on topics such as transforming business at the intersection of marketing and technology, democratisation of creativity by people such as Graham Fink, Chief Creative Officer, O&M and Dave Alberts of Mo Films. The day will also witness the Abby Media Awards show, Abby Digital and Mobile Awards Show, Abby Design Awards Show and Abby Direct Awards Show.

The next day will involve discussions on issues such as ‘uncertainty also being a part of life’, ‘no one cares about marketing’, ‘do what matters’, ‘what does great work look like in our changing world’, ‘do what your heart says with participation’ from experts such as Mark Tutssel and Tom Bernardin  from Leo Burnett; Shiv Singh, Global Head – Digital, Pepsi; Nick Vale, Global Planning Director, Maxus Worldwide; Abhishek Kapoor, Bollywood Director; and Amir Kassaei, Chief Creative Officer, DDB Worldwide. The discussions will be followed by Abby Creative Awards Show Print & Print Craft, Film & Film Craft, Outdoor & Ambient, Radio & Radio Craft, Integrated and Branded Content and Abby Outdoor Awards.

The eighth edition of Goafest will be hosted at the Zuri White Sands Goa on April 5 and 6, with the conclave on April 4, 2013.
