International: TBWA Worldwide bags Haagen-Dazs international business

General Mills has awarded its estimated $44 million international advertising account for Haagen-Dazs to TBWA Worldwide. Pitching for the premium ice-cream brand were J. Walter Thompson Co., Young & Rubciam, Leo Burnett Worldwide and Saatchi & Saatchi.

The international business includes all markets excluding North America and Japan. In North America, where Swiss food giant Nestle has the license for use of the Haagen-Dazs brand, the account moved in January to JWT's Chicago office from Wolf Group, New York.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
