Initiative, Kolkata has recently bagged the media duties of Khadim India Ltd. The creative duties of Khadim is handled by O&M, Kolkata.
Khadim, the budget brand in footwear segment, has gained a firm foothold in the Eastern and Southern markets, and is now set to expand in a big way in the Northern and Western markets. Recently, Khadim had set up its exclusive showroom in the NCR and plans to open 8-9 more exclusive outlets in Delhi–NCR in the immediate future. They further plan to set up a regional distribution centre in the NCR. They may also set up a manufacturing unit in the North depending on the market response.
Jaideep BasuRay, Senior Brand Manager, Khadim India, said, “Initiative was doing the media planning for Khadim since last year, and now we are happy to give them the responsibility of media buying too. We have major expansion plans and are confident that Initiative will fit the bill.”
Kartik Iyer, President, Initiative feels the team has done good work for Khadim, which is a category is growing very fast and has serious plans in the retail space in future.
“We’ll put in our best efforts to add value to their growth plans,” added Kartik Iyer.
Meanwhile, Initiative had made some major appointments recently. Initiative, Delhi had appointed Mausumi Kar to head their Maruti Suzuki account, while Sumita Das cameon board as the Planning Head on all other Initiative clients other than Maruti Suzuki.V S Mani had been appointed as the Initiative Mumbai Head.
