Indian Bank assigns creative duties to Euro RSCG Chennai, MPG Chennai to handle media

Euro RSCG Chennai and MPG Chennai have bagged the creative and media duties, respectively, of Indian Bank. Industry sources peg the account size in the region of Rs 15 crore.

Euro RSCG Chennai has won the creative duties and MPG has won the media duties for Indian Bank recently. Indian Bank was established on 15th August 1907 as part of the Swadeshi movement. It is serving the nation with a team of over 22000 dedicated staff. 1403 Branches spread all over India. According to the Industry sources the size of the business is Rs 15 crore.

Reacting to the account win, a senior Euro RSCG official said, “We are really happy to win the business. We will help position Indian Bank as a premium bank. Indian Bank has been lying low for a long time, but with the bank set to celebrate its 100th anniversary on August 15, 2006, it has stepped up activities around this milestone. These involve a 360-degree campaign including print, TVC, outdoors, and the Internet, among others.”

MPG’s Chief Strategy Officer and Head of South, Ruby Nana, said, “We are quite excited to win this business. We will be handling the entire planning for their celebration of 100 years. We will be doing work in print, outdoors, direct marketing, the Internet and below-the-line activities.”

She further said, “We were selected as they liked our strategic and creative presentation.”

The pitch for the business was held in Chennai. According to agency sources, several agencies were in the fray, which included O&M, FCB-Ulka, Mudra and Imageads, besides Euro RSCG.

However, when contacted, Indian Bank officials declined to divulge any details.

Indian bank recently opened a branch on Taramani Link Road in Chennai, which is its 1,403rd branch.
