IMPACT's Top 50 Most Influential Women list to be unveiled on March 19

After the success of the previous two reports, IMPACT’S Top 50 Most Influential Women List is back. The list for 2014 will be unveiled on March 19, 2014 at a glitzy ceremony in Mumbai.

The list recognises women across media, who have not only done path-breaking work, but have also helped in redefining the dynamics in their fields. The Jury Chair for this special initiative is Sam Balsara, Chairman and MD, Madison World. The other Jury members include: Ambi Parameswaran, Advisor, Draftfcb+Ulka Advertising; Harit Nagpal, CEO, Tata Sky; Hemant Bakshi, Executive Director, Home & Personal Care, HUL; Piyush Mathur, President, Nielsen India; and Shashi Sinha, CEO, IPG Media Brands India.

Shobhana Bhartia, Chairperson and Editorial Director, HT Media Group led the list last year, followed by Vinita Bali, Managing Director, Britannia Industries, and Ekta Kapoor, Joint Managing Director, Balaji Telefilms.

The other leading ladies among the top 10 last year included: Tanya Dubash, Board of Godrej Group of Companies, and Executive Director & President, Marketing, Godrej Group; Gauri Shinde, Ad-Film and Feature Film Director; Prabha Parameswaran, Managing Director, Colgate Palmolive; Barkha Dutt, Managing Editor, NDTV; Mini Menon, Executive Editor, Bloomberg TV; Sangeeta Pendurkar, Managing Director, Kellogg India; and Geetu Verma, Executive Director & Vice President – Innovations, Hindustan Unilever.

IMPACT’S special edition of Top 50 most Influential Women in Media Marketing and Advertising is a step to acknowledge the achievements of women who give a whole new meaning to the words – power and influence. These are women whose contributions have had significant impact on the industry and their peer group and completely changed the way the industry is perceived today. These women are a source of inspiration to countless others who aspire to emulate their qualities.
