Excitement is building up as the Indian media and communication industry begins casting its votes for the IMPACT Person of the Year 2011. The IMPACT Person of the Year 2011 is presented by Jagran Group. The IMPACT Person of the Year 2011 will be crowned at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai on December 8.
The aim is to recognise a person’s contribution to his domain and business as well as the industry at large, besides her/ his leadership qualities and ability to retain talent and lead a team. In short, the person’s impact on the industry.

Advertising wordsmith Agnello Dias is the Chairman and Co-Founder of TapRoot India. He has been a pioneer in the creative world for about two decades. He is also the brain behind the latest Airtel jingle “Har ek friend zaroori hota hai”, which has got the nation’s youth humming. He has won laurels on several international award platforms with winning stints at Leo Burnett and JWT. Over the years, he has become one of the most influential people in Indian advertising for reinstating faith in creative entrepreneurship in India.
Haresh Chawla, Group CEO, Viacom18

Madhukar Kamath, MD & CEO, Mudra Group; Chairman of the Organising Committee for AdAsia 2011
A veteran of nearly 20 years in the field of advertising and marketing communications, Madhukar Kamath, Group CEO and MD of Mudra Group, has led the company in its best years. Under his leadership, Mudra has transformed from an advertising agency into one of India’s leading Integrated Marketing Communications groups, with capitalized billings in the region of Rs 2,500 crore. Madhukar has actively participated in and led several industry bodies. He has served as the President of the AAAI and Chairman of ASCI (The Advertising Standards Council of India). Man Jit Singh, CEO, Multi Screen Media (MSM)
Heading one of India’s largest broadcasting companies - Multi Screen Media (MSM) – CEO Man Jit Singh is the brain behind the remarkable revival of Sony Entertainment Television. He joined the SET India board from Diogenes Capital, LLC, a private equity fund in Los Angeles, California, where he was a Principal. Singh has held the CEO’s position in several companies specialising in management recruitment and temporary staffing. A robust network of SAB, Sony, Pix and Max was created under his strong leadership which have now become one of the most watched GECs of the country.
Rajiv Verma, Chief Executive Officer, Hindustan Times Media Limited
Rajiv Verma is CEO of Hindustan Times Media. His leadership has led Hindustan Times and Hindustan to become one of the fastest growing publications of the country. After joining HT Media Ltd. as CEO in October 2004, Verma has provided the necessary leadership and direction required to achieve the company’s short term and long term objectives. He brings with him over 24 years of cross-sector experience with reputed companies like Hindustan Lever, Nestle and Whirlpool. His international experience spans South East Asia and European geographies, with stints at Whirlpool in Thailand and Nestle in the Philippines and Switzerland.
Ronnie Screwvala, CEO and founder chairman of UTV Group

Vineet Jain, Managing Director, Times Group
