Idea Cellular has brought in its two sumo ambassadors for a tour across all its eight circles in India. Tachibana and Motohashi will be travelling to Agra, Indore, Haryana, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi and Indore from Delhi, which is their first stop.
Commenting on their visit, Vikram Mehmi, CEO, Idea Cellular, said, “Our prepaid campaign currently on air has reached the number 2 status in terms of recall. Our sumo brand ambassadors have aided this milestone and we thought it fitting to invite the stars of our campaign to India to demonstrate to our customers the true might of Prepaid Ho To Idea Jaisa.”
The sumos showcased the art of sumo to the media on their first ever visit to India. They will also be meeting the general public and channel partners across Delhi and the NCR region.
Explaining the connection between the sumos’ visit and the brand, Rajendra Chourasia, Vice-President (Customer Operations) and Circle Head, Delhi, said, “Consumers have seen a lot of the sumos in the recent ad campaigns. Once they meet them, the brand recall will be very strong. The connection lies in the fact that Idea prepaid has many power packed features just like the sumos.”
