IBLA 2006: Lifetime Achievement Award for Narayana Murthy, Uday Kotak is Innovator of the Year

The who's who of corporate India gathered in Mumbai to felicitate the business leaders of India at the CNBC-TV18 India Business Leader Awards (IBLA) on December 7.

Some of the notable achievers included Infosys chief Narayana Murthy, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Rajya Sabha member Arun Shourie was one of the awardees as the Key Architect of the Indian Economy. Uday Kotak, Managing Director of Kotak Mahindara Bank was declared India Innovator of the Year, while Dhirubhai

Ambani entered the Hall of Fame.

SEBI chairman M Damodaran, who won the award for Outstanding Contribution to the

Cause of Indian Business, said "Maybe sometime later, an investor company will choose to award us as they are the ones who benefit from us and our work. I owe my success to my wife and mother, who have always been there for me."
