The Hutch Delhi Half Marathon is taking place for the third consecutive year in the Capital on October 28 this year. Hutch is all geared up with advertising, marketing and on-ground activities around the marathon.
Sanjoy Mukerji, Director-Operations, Hutch-Delhi, Punjab and Haryana, said, “We will be conducting a lot of awareness activities for the marathon. The tagline that we have developed this year for the marathon is ‘Daudene ke liye dil chahiye’ because marathon is about individual participation at a mass level for a common cause in Delhi. We have recently released an ad campaign in print in all the main dailies. The hoardings and bus shelters have been put up across Delhi. The TVC may follow later.”
Mukherji said that some interesting on-ground activities had been lined up for the marathon. He added, “We are putting up a hamster wheel in malls in Delhi and NCR region. It is a large transparent wheel where a person is running inside it. This initative will help in raising awareness among people about the Hutch Delhi Half Marathon.”
“Flash mobs, comprising a group of youngsters who are dressed in pink to attract crowds and registrations for the marathon, are making their presence felt at crowded malls in Delhi and the NCR, and are indulging in five-minute workouts. We are also contacting people directly in resident welfare associations and are generating participation from them through letters. We are running a contest for the associations in order to to raise charity,” elaborated Mukherji.
