Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO), the premiere techno – financing institution of India in the field of housing and urban development, has called advertising agencies for empanelment to handle its publicity and media campaigns in Delhi. Last date for submitting applications is May 31, 2012.

Agency sources have confirmed the news to exchange4media. The process has been initiated from May 16, 2012.

The company has mandated that only the agencies that have fully functional offices in Delhi can apply. Prior experience in handling Government/Public Sector accounts would be given preference. Annual turnover of the agency needs to be above Rs 15 crore in order to be a part of the pitch process.

The agencies will have to submit creatives on its approach for branding HUDCO, encompassing major activities such as housing, urban infrastructure and consultancy undertaken by the company at the time of application. The agencies will then be shortlisted on the basis of eligibility and creative representation.

For the record, HUDCO is a public sector company fully owned by Government of India for financing of housing and urban infrastructure activities in India. The main objective of HUDCO is to undertake housing and urban infrastructure development programmes in the country, provide long-term finance for construction of houses for residential purposes in urban and rural areas, and finance or undertake the setting up of new or satellite towns and industrial enterprise for building material.
