HLL Lifecare scouts for media and creative agencies

HLL Lifecare (formerly known as Hindustan Latex) is on the lookout for media and creative agencies. The pitch process recently took place in Chennai, which saw the participation of several creative agencies from the city. The size of the business is estimated to be in the range of Rs 6 crore-Rs 7 crore.

It is learnt that some of the leading agencies that took part in the pitch process included RK Swamy BBDO, Lowe Lintas, Interface, Rediffusion Y&R, Grey, JWT, and Law & Kenneth, among others. Incidentally, RK Swamy BBDO had earlier worked on the creative duties of Moods condoms.

A highly placed source close to the development has confirmed the news to exchange4media. It is also learnt that the results of the pitch process will be declared in December 2013.

As is known, HLL Lifecare was established in March 1966 as a corporate entity under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Today, the Mini Ratna company produces healthcare products, including condoms, blood collection bags, auto-disabled syringes, vaccines, pharma products for women, natural products, blood bank equipment, iron and folic acid tablets, sanitary napkins and more.

Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
