Haier to be official partner sponsor of MTV Asia Awards 2006

Home appliances brand Haier has been signed on as the official partner sponsor of the MTV Asia Awards 2006, which will be held in Bangkok on May 6. The event will be used by the company as a platform to promote its latest range of colour TVs with a special focus on LCD/PDP TVs.

T K Banerjee, President and CEO, Haier Appliances (India) Pvt Ltd, said, “It is our pleasure to be associated with the MTV Asia Awards 2006, which reaches more than 400 million households worldwide. With its popularity among the youth, MTV provides the ideal platform for us to connect with a new generation of consumers.”

The company has also introduced an all India lucky draw promotional offer, called the ‘Bangkok Mein Band Bajao offer’. The promotion, which will be on till April 25 this year, will give a chance to the buyers of Haier CTVs, LCD and Plasma TV, to participate in a lucky draw, wherein winners will get an opportunity to get an all expenses paid trip for a couple to Bangkok to watch the grand event live on May 6.
