Celebrating the combination of best minds in media thinking and creative communications strategy from around the globe, the Festival of Media 2011 got underway in the stunning new setting of Montreux, Switzerland on May 8, 2011. The Festival will continue till May 10, 2011. This is the fifth year that the Festival brings together thought leaders from the international media and marketing industry to explore media and communications developments that are transforming the industry and also to assess and evaluate the potential changes to be seen in future.
Over two days, the Festival will bring live the most experienced industry leaders and thinkers who are challenging the cultural trends and pioneering in media technologies. The speakers will explore and examine the role of brands and evaluate the engagement with the consumers. This is further designed to provide the insight and inspiration for brands and marketers in the global scenario.
The agenda is designed to appraise and address the challenges we face as an industry; seek out the global visionaries shaping our future and gain their insights; and not only to reflect, but to assess and evaluate the new opportunities that are developing for innovative and effective media communication around the world. It has been a sweeping move away from the format of previous Festivals, the sessions will focus on part of a single stream conference agenda, which is designed to be more brand centric and future focused.
The speaker line-up reveals a strong client focus, with leading global advertisers, including AT&T, BMW, Kraft Foods, RIM, The Coca-Cola Company, Philips and Unilever, among others. The agenda set by speakers for the Festival is to synergise both creative media strategies along with pioneers in media for developing new media models and the leaders in business with the budgets to influence and create the future of the media industry.
Great news for all advertising and media professionals from Asia as the Festival of Media will be hosted in Asia later this year.
