GroupM Global's Rob Norman to deliver keynote @IMPACT Digital Meet

If you want to decode the various digital myths and meet the man who can change the way you look at digital marketing, IMPACT Digital Marketing Meet will help in delivering unified customer messages across all digital marketing channels, while optimising the marketing budget.

The conference, scheduled for May 13, 2013 at The Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon, will help online marketers stay on top of their game.

One of the most influential names in today’s digital media landscape, Rob Norman, Chief Digital Officer of GroupM Global, will deliver the keynote address on evolving trends in multichannel digital marketing. With increase in consumption of digital media, marketers are faced with a new set of challenges in reaching their audiences with the right message, at the right time and through the right channels. The range of media options, technology platforms, data availability and data governance requirements have added a tremendous amount of complexity to the practice of marketing. Norman’s presentation will take a look at the ways marketing is adapting across people, platforms, processes, screens and channels – with examples from markets across the globe.

Norman has worked for more than two decades in the media agency business in a wide range of increasingly senior roles. As Chief Digital Officer of GroupM Global, Norman oversees the activities of the world’s largest buyer of online media with more than $5 billion in billings. In this role, he develops the digital capabilities within GroupM while establishing thought leadership positioning in the digital space and contributing to each agency’s business development.

Prior to taking this role in 2012, Norman served as CEO of GroupM North America, where he was responsible for the general management as well as strategic and administrative activities at each of GroupM’s four media agencies—Maxus, MEC, MediaCom and Mindshare. He assumed that role in March 2010, after serving since 2007 as head of GroupM Interaction, which included the digital offerings of each GroupM agency as well as the integrated global search organisation that combines GroupM affiliates Outrider, Catalyst, and 24/7 Real Media, a position he retained while serving as GroupM North American CEO.

The Meet will also have India’s forward-thinking digital marketers, social media mavens and online experts get together to discuss the future of digital marketing and share strategies for improving customer engagement and developing campaigns that are creative, relevant and effective.

It will be followed by a panel discussion on connecting the dots: email, mobile, social, web and data, exploring challenges and strategies for building and sustaining integrated digital media marketing campaigns, with particular reference to Indian markets. The eminent panellists include Manish Vij, Founder – CEO, VUN Network; Venkat Nettimi, Head of Marketing, American Express; Nikhil Rungta, Chief Business Officer (CBO), Yebhi.com, among others.
