Manipal Education and Medical Group and Manipal Acadamy of Higher Education have signed on Grey Worldwide to handle its creative duties. The account will be serviced by the Bangalore branch of Grey. Though the account size is not known, it is expected to be substantial.
As is learnt, 13 agencies had pitched for the account, of which two – including Grey – were shortlisted to make the final presentation.
Confirming the account win, Sanjay Menon, Branch Head, Grey, Bangalore, said, “The Manipal Group is a big entity, and especially so in this part of the country, and we are very happy to have them as a client. This is indeed a prestigious win for us.”
Elaborating on what led to Grey winning the account, Menon said, “Whenever we approach a pitch presentation, we follow a 360-degree approach and believe in offering a complete integrated solution. We also did a lot of research on the client and the category. Also, the brief given to us by the client was absolutely fabulous and it clearly defined what the objective and focus of the presentation should be. The client had a lot of input on the presentation.”
This is the first time that the Manipal Group has hired the services of an agency and thus, the agency’s role will be to build the Manipal image. This image building exercise will be primarily led by the print media.
The Manipal Group of Companies, founded by Upendra Ananth Pai of Manipal, is a major financial and industrial group in South India. The Group has its activities spread over financial services, manufacturing, industry, healthcare and education.
