Goafest 2016 kicks off; Media & Publisher Abbys announced

Goafest 2016, India’s foremost advertising, media and marketing convention kick started its annual festival with the announcement of Media & Publisher Abbys which recognize excellence in use of media such as Print, TV, Cinema, Outdoor, Radio, Events, Digital & Social Media amongst others.

 Speaking about the line-up for the event, Ambi M G Parameshwaran - President, Advertising Agencies Association of India said, “It is wonderful to see so many advertising, media and marketing companies coming together to make Goafest 2016 the most talked about event in the industry. The atmosphere is rife with enthusiasm as professionals from across the country have come together to share learn and bond.  If the scene on day one is anything to go by, I’m pretty sure the next two days are going to be just as exciting with some exemplary speakers taking the stage and some must attend seminars taking place.”

 Extending his best wishes to the winners, Raj Nayak - President, The Advertising Club said, “It is such a pleasure to see such tremendous work from brilliant minds winning much deserved Abbys for their efforts. What we’ve seen and are likely to observe in the next two days are some of the most creative works produced by advertising, media and marketing professionals in the country. It makes me immensely proud to be witnessing the triumph of talent across the board. With Goafest 2016, our aim is to celebrate creativity, originality and innovation and I believe we have begun on the right note today. I’m very happy that the entire industry has come together to celebrate this biggest event.”

 Felicitating the winners, Nakul Chopra - Chairman of Goafest Organizing Committee said, “Along with giving young enthusiastic talent a platform for their work, it is also our outlook, as the organizing committee of Goafest to curate best in class seminars and conclaves which will provide opportunities for professionals from the industry to learn and grow together. It is our constant endeavour to recognize and felicitate the best of the best creative minds for the unparalleled work that they have been doing.”

 Ramesh Narayan, Chairman of the Awards Governing Council of Goafest 2016, added, “Members of the advertising and marketing fraternity never disappoint when it comes to showing their creativity and this year was no different. We have seen some astonishingly wonderful entries coming in which have kept the jury on their toes. Judging any award is a difficult process, and more so, when you’re pitting one excellent entry against another. All I can say is; all the winners are truly deserving of the honours that have been bestowed upon them. Judging by the level of excitement at the event, I’m positive that the next two days are going to be nothing short of spectacular. Any award is only as good as the jury that judges it and I would like to commend the top notch jury members who assembled from all over India and gave off their time and expertise.”

 With industry specific conclaves to expert seminars and ABBYs presentations, the Goafest ABBYs 2016 presented by The Advertising Club and The AAA’ of India has once again seen the entire advertising and marketing community descend upon the pearly shores of North Goa to celebrate excellence in creativity across media platforms and genres.
