GoaFest 2011: More shortlists announced…

Following the announcement of shortlisted entries for Interactive Advertising, Film Single and Print Single categories, the GoaFest Committee is out with the shortlists for Integrated Advertising, Ambient Media, Out of home, Design, Radio and Radio Craft categories.

It may be noted that the Direct Film Craft and Print Craft shortlists are yet to be announced. The first round of judging for the respective categories was held on March 26 and 28, 2011, in Mumbai. It may be noted that the second final round of judging will be held in Mumbai from March 31 and will continue till April 4. This year, Creative Abby has followed the closed judging process unlike the last few years, which followed a show of hands voting.

Shortlist Announced
Integrated Advertising:

In this category there were a total of 15 entries shortlisted, out of which Ogilvy India has five shortlisted entries to its credit, followed by McCann Worldgroup with two entries. The other agencies in the shortlist include Bates 141, Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd India, Contract Advertising, Creativeland Asia, Grey Worldwide, Ideas@work, Leo Burnett India and Mudra Communication with one entry each.

Ambient Media:
This category includes a total of 76 entries. Of this, Ogilvy India tops the charts with maximum 18 entries. Following are Mudra Communications and McCann Worldgroup with 14 and 12 entries shortlisted, respectively. Contract Advertising, Grey Worldwide and Leo Burnett India have six entries shortlisted, while JWT India has four entries shortlisted. Other agencies like 1Pointsize, Bates 141, Creativeland Asia, Dialogue Factory and Interface Communications have two shortlisted entries each.

Out of Home:
This is one category that accumulated the maximum number of entries at 441. Myudra Communications has the maximum number of shortlisted entries – 89. McCann Worldgroup and Ogilvy India follow with 65 and 58 entries, respectively. Bates 141 has 49 entries shortlisted, while Contract Advertising has scored 38 shortlisted entries. Leo Burnett has 26 entries shortlisted in this category, while Grey and JWT India have 25 and 24 entries, respectively. Other agencies include Out of the Box (14 entries); ideas@work (12 entries); Euro RSCG (10 entries); Rediffusion Y&R (eight entries); Cheil Worldwide, Creativeland Asia, DraftFCB Ulka and Parag Shahane (three entries each); Meridian Communications, Rubecon Communication and Sorento Healthcare (two entries each).

Design category has seen a total of 72 entries being shortlisted, of these, Leo Burnett India has 16 entries shortlisted. Mudra has managed to have six entries shortlisted in this category, while ideas@work, Ogilvy India and Rediffusion Y&R have five entries each shortlisted. Bates 141, Contract Advertising, Creativeland Asia, Dentsu Marcom, Grandmother India, JWT India and The Flagship Advertising have three entries shortlisted. Fitch, Grey India, McCann Worldgroup, Out of the Box and tailor agencies have scored two entries each. While agencies like Fingerprints, Happy Creative, Palasa and Scarecrow have one entry each shortlisted.

Radio category had a total of 91 entries. Mudra Communication has 21 entries shortlisted, followed by McCann Worldgroup and Leo Burnett India with 19 and 15 entries, respectively. Ogilvy India has 10 entries shortlisted in this category. Contract Advertising and Creativeland Asia have five entries each. DraftFCB Ulka and Grey have scored three entries each to their credit, while Bates 141, Interface, JWT India and Rediffusion Y&R have two entries shortlisted. Euro RSCG and Meridian Communication have scored a single shortlist each.

Radio Craft:
There are 10 entries in this category shortlisted, which includes agencies like Lingo India with seven entries, Menwhopause with two entries and Big FM with a single shortlisted entry.
