extended the deadline for submitting entries for both Creative and Media Awards to Wednesday, March 15, 2007. The event, to be held on April 20 and 21, 2007, will have two nights of awards ceremonies this year as Media Awards have also been constituted along with the Creative Awards.
The GoaFest committee is clear that the attempt is to employ only the best international practices for the categorising and cataloguing of entries prior to the final judging. The gap of almost three weeks between the entry deadline and the judging process is a step towards this.
The organisers have promised an advertising festival that would be at a par with international advertising festivals with a focus on the young brains of the industry. Combining fun with education, the organisers feel that GoaFest is the place to be for any young guy in the industry to meet and interact with luminaries from the industry.
The schedule for the event, which will be out soon, is filled with top-class seminars and exhibitions along with the awards nights over the two days in an open-air auditorium on the Cavelossim beach.
