The global realignment has forced TBWA Anthem to sever ties with FILA. The move comes close on the heels of TBWA Worldwide’s recent acquisition of the advertising business of Adidas. TBWA Anthem had been handling the FILA account for about a year.
At present, the Adidas India advertising account is handled by McCann-Erickson. The agency had acquired the business about six months ago from RK Swamy BBDO.
McCann-Erickson bagged the account as Adidas was keen on changing the way in which it was perceived. Whether the account will now shift to TBWA Anthem is not clear.
