General Motors (GM) is reviewing its media duties in India. Industry sources peg the business in the vicinity of Rs 100 crore. It is understood that the automobile manufacturer is reviewing its media business in various other markets as well. In India, the business is currently handled by Madison Media.
GM officials were not available for comments at the time of filing the report, but sources familiar with the development informed that the pitch presentations are scheduled to take place next week, and that the decision would be taken after three rounds of presentation.
The creative duties, which are handled by Leo Burnett and Wieden+Kennedy, are not being reviewed at present.
General Motors India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Motors Corp, has brands such as Chevrolet Tavera, Chevrolet Optra and Opel Corsa in the Indian market. It also sells the imported Opel Vectra and Chevrolet Forester.
