Garuda Advertising bags three new businesses

Delhi-based Garuda Advertising has recently added three new businesses to its kitty – UP Tourism, DC Handicrafts and the event account of Ministry of Food Processing Industries.

Elaborating on the account wins, Shilpy Saxena, CMD, Garuda Advertising, said, “For UP Tourism, we conceptualised a complete image makeover. We have tried to position it somewhere in line with ‘Incredible India’ and developed creatives accordingly. The selection panel appreciated our effort, positioning idea and creative execution. The campaign will break out in the media very soon.” This is Garuda’s second tourism account after Goa Tourism.

For Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Garuda’s job is event and exhibition centric. The Ministry organises events across India and puts up its stall in major events organised around the world. Garuda Advertising with its strong foray into events and PR won the account along with other nine agencies, including FICCI and ITDC.

Saxena added, “This account will give us a wide scope to plan, conceptualise and implement international as well as national events and exhibitions. Garuda, as an integrated communication agency, will strengthen its foothold in events and exhibitions further.”

Development Commissioner - Handicrafts had invited around 10 agencies for media, strategy and creative presentation. With its prior experience in handling the account and its different associates like Cottage Emporium, NCDPD, NCTD and Ministry of Textiles, Garuda suggested a different approach to position Indian handicrafts.

Saxena said, “Our idea for DC Handicraft was totally different. We wanted to create an identity for handicraft products that is tempting and irresistible. We positioned them as lifestyle products and developed creatives accordingly. That was the hook to win the account.”

The agency had earlier won the advertising rights of Punjab Roadways buses, Delhi-Kathgodam Sampark Kranti Express, Ranikhet Express and Sapna Cinema in Delhi. It has opened a full-fledged office in Chandigarh to manage its OOH operations and to cater to the local clients in Punjab and Haryana.
