The Bombay Ad Club’s annual Advertising Review – an initiative that began in 1980, is back. This year, the Ad Club will conduct the review on March 16 in Mumbai. The event is sponsored by Dainik Bhaskar this year, and would be conducted by Santosh Desai, MD & CEO-Designate of Future Brands.
Desai had previously headed McCann-Erickson for four years and had set up the Strategic Planning and Consumer Insight function for McCann-Erickson at a national level. During his 21 years in advertising, he has been involved in building key brands for a range of local and multinational clients.
“Earlier, the Ad Review presenter would usually be from an advertising agency, but over the last few years, the Managing Committee has considered getting a client perspective as well, so often the presenter is from a client company,” said Bipin Pandit, GM, Bombay Ad Club.
Some of the past presenters of the Ad Review include Mike Khanna, Suresh Mullick, Bal Mundkur, Kersy Katrak, Alyque Padamsee, Piyush Pandey, Ravi Deshpande, R Balakrishnan, Prasoon Joshi, Sunil Alagh and Rajeev Bakshi.
