The New Year seems to have started on a happy note for FCB-Ulka. The agency’s Delhi office has won four new accounts in January, Benetton, Bosch & Lomb, Dr. Morepen (Diagnostic Products) and Lord Krishna Bank. Mr. Sanjeev Bhargava, VP and head Delhi office, confirmed the development.
According to Mr. Bhargava, “The agency’s strategic inputs to the development of the brand communication are what helped them win the businesses.”
According to sources at Benetton, the garment and accessories brands have been given to Ulka, which doesn’t include Perfumes. The account was with a subsidiary of O&M earlier and the contract with them came to an end, hence the shift. FCB-Ulka has been chosen for their inputs on the creative and media side and given the requirements of the brand; the agency seemed to have the required resources to fulfill the needs.
In the case of Dr Morepen, a major part of ‘Buerer Brand’ has been given to Ulka. Perfect 10, the current agency of the brand keeps the other smaller part. Buerer is an international brand and has a range of medical diagnostic products under its name.
Reportedly Lintas had also pitched for the account but according to sources in the company, Ulka was selected for its creative ideation on the brand. Dr Morepen, which has launched a slew of OTC products recently has been on an overdrive with product launches and advertising campaigns. The company recently realigned its OTC and FMHG brand advertising across multiple agencies.
