FCB Ulka bags Rs 25-cr Tata Green batteries account

Tata AutoComp GY Batteries (TGY) Pvt Ltd has appointed FCB Ulka for the creative duties of Tata Green, a range of environment-friendly automotive batteries. The account size is estimated at around Rs 20-25 crore. Sources close to the development have confirmed the news.

TGY, a 50:50 joint venture company between Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd (TACO) and GS Yuasa International (GYIN), Japan, launched the range of environment-friendly automotive batteries in January 2007. These batteries are based on Calcium-Calcium technology offering unique features.

No official comments were available at the time of filing this report.

The launch of these batteries marks TACO’s foray into the automotive retail business. The manufacturing unit of the batteries is situated in Pune.
